Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Lunch today at Ramanos by the beach was a pleasant surprise. I got a turkey cold sub and it was delicious and HUGE!!!!!! A large is 22 inches and the half was 11 inches of chewy Italian bread!!!!Home made chips topped off this meal. Our server was very good considering she got slammed two minutes after we arrived. She went from 2 people to 16 instantly!!! I wish I knew her name so I could give her kudos for handling the rush very well. Will surely go back here and very soon!!!!!

The place is nothing fancy, but the food was good. Had some sandwiches for lunch and they were excellent.

Great NY/NJ pizza! in Fl, who knew. I got a small pizza, so NY style. Hubby has been pining for a eggplant parm hot sub; and he found it here. Both as good as expected in the traditional eastern way. An employee was bragging about being from Cherry Hill, NJ (next to Philly), guy he was talking to mentioned where he was from in the east, so we had to pipe in and say Rockland County, NY; and a table of retired ladies added Dutchess and Nassau County to the collection of eastern areas. Only NYers/NJers would give such a "cheer" for the east coast! Felt like home. So if you love NY pizzeria food and are in the area, you have to go!

Good pizza, huge delicious subs! I love their rainbow cookies too ! Not the fanciest atmosphere but service is always friendly and the food is quite good . Coming from a NYer and I am very picky about my pizza ! Love their Tuesday pizza special $8 or $9 (takeout ) for a pie ! Oh and they deliver !!!!!

I usually get the pizza and its always good. I've had a variety of toppings and pizzas, like the margarita and a lot of the specialty pies. I get a side of marinara for dipping the crust in because its that good. I enjoy the Italian cookies they have also.

Cute little place. Ate here with the family of five. It is vey small inside. If you are a large party, consider take out or sit in two separate groups. The staff was vey friendly. Good atmosphere. The food was good. They were large portions, and we all had leftovers. Would come again, especially if I wAs a local.

The subs are freaking enormous!!! One of the few pizzerias that has silician pizza(and it's good!). Excellent pizza that is consistent and tasty. Not a great dining area but who cares, it's pizza!

We've been all over Italy and this is as good as it gets. The Bendetto pizza is classic authentic Italian pizza! Scrumptious!

Small place with big flavor. Very impressed with hand tossed crust. Pizza by the slice for picky Cheese only lovers too. Awesome prices and great staff. The kids had Cheese Pizza slices and we had the Meat Lovers. Awesome!

This delivery pizza was delicious. We're from out of town and this pizza really hit the spot. We got pepperoni and pineapple pizza with some garlic knot bread. The pizza and bread were on point and came fairly quickly. I would recommend this place if you're look for a delivery place so you can chill at home.

So so good! You have to try this place out! Makes you feel like a local, don't let the store front fool you ! Its alittle tiny store in a plaza but the inside is small and intimate!

If I could have given this restaurant more than 5 stars I would. Great food, atmosphere, service and quality. I am a food snob and don't eat out much for that reason, and Romano's will be seeing me in the future. The owner and her sons are delightful. This is a real winner.

Very well done. A great pizza/takeout option for St. Aug Beach area. I hate soggy pizza with soggy cheap cheese and their standard pie was chewy and crisp and a pretty decent thickness. They use very good cheese on top: stringy and chewy whole milk mozzarella. They even make there own fresh mozzarella if you want that. Sauce is more like authentic Italian sauce, not American pizza sauce: more like a pinkish tomato broth, not heavy on the dried herbs. The only thing I would improve is more fresh garlic taste/aroma in the sauce (ESP bc my specialty pizza had garlic as an ingredient .... but I could not taste or smell any.). The Calzones and Italian pastry looked good. The Small salad was gigantic and fresh: mine actually had too much topping (fresh Gorgonzola, pecans, cranberries: I had to dig around to find the lettuce; and the tomatoes were actually ripe and sweet, unlike most salads.) you can tell they take pride in their food. Not somewhere I would dine in (too much foot traffic near tables), but Romanos is my new go-to take out place. They also have soup, hot subs (shrimp parmagiana, sausage and broccoli rabe, and the usual suspects), dinners, and an innovative mix of specialty pizza (including a whole wheat option, a Sicilian option, and I think a new gluten free option).

Really enjoyed this pizza. Big fresh, high quality slices and good quick delivery. Our pizza order was incorrect, so I called and spoke with the owner and he was very apologetic. Offered me a free pizza upon our next return. I did not think it was necessary to offer that, but that is fantastic customer service right there.

Very good pizza and Calzone, the calzone had a little too much Ricotta cheese for my liking, but was tasty non the less. Highly recommend this place to whoever has had enough of crappy chain store pizza. This place will go to the top of my list for pizza while I'm visiting St Augustine.

Let me first admit that I am one of those pizza snobs originally from NYC. Not my fault that I grew up in an Italian neighborhood with 1st generation immigrants from Naples and Sicily. What better way to be introduced to authentic pizza. Having said that, Romano's pizza was right up there with the best that I can remember from my days in NYC. Service was real friendly and they did not mind us coming in 15 minutes before closing. This place is a well kept secret and a real gem!
